EPD Electronics was founded in 1986 as Electronic Prototype Development. Now, over 35 years later, EPD Electronics continues to support its customers with its engineering expertise in the design and manufacturing of electro-mechanical products.
EPD started as a prototyping company and has grown to include PCB design and engineering to manufacturing and assembly. Today EPD Electronics provides complete manufacturing services from design to prototype to production. We also provide supply chain management services as well as complete order fulfillment to our customers.
As part of a major expansion into a much larger facility, EPD Electronics has recently moved to a new location a stone’s throw away from many of the high tech innovation centers in Pittsburgh, PA. High tech surface mount lines, AOI, x-ray, automated soldering equipment, multiple 3D printers, laser cutting, CNC, and test equipment have been recently upgraded.

We just don't manufacture products we designed but will work with your team and designs to develop the best manufacturing plan to get you moving forward quickly.
Conveniently located in Natrona Heights just outside of Pittsburgh and close to Route 28, our facility services both regional and national customers.
After concept approval, our prototype department goes to work creating the one-off designs to prove out the concept, receive your approval based on site part fit up. Once accepted the prototype goes to the “build to” drawing stage and then to the production phase.
