Today’s technological advancements require smaller electronics and more complicated assemblies to be competitive in the market. In addition to the design, prototyping and production of electronic products, there is an even greater need to outsource the assembly of these components into the final product.
Electrical component assembly is the core specialty of EPD. It is a major part of how our business started and a major part of how we have grown. Our assembly team works to mount, connect, assemble and secures the components designed and manufactured at our facility into the final products to our customers. The work ranges from fairly basic and easy assembly to complicated tasks that require advanced knowledge and experience to meet precise specifications.
An important part of component assembly is quality control. EPD conducts quality checks throughout the assembly process to identify any issues and take immediate corrective action.
We create customized documents for how every assembly will be manufactured and we manufacture with highly flexible and state of the art SMT lines and automated optical inspection. We have automated and semi-automatic through hole assembly equipment along with state-of-the-art automated soldering machines. We do cable and final post wave and hand soldered assemblies for those tough components that you can’t automate. Our experience assemblers are trained in all levels of IPC and soldering methods.
